Francesco Romeo — Software Developer
Open to new projects
I design and build software — native apps for Apple platforms, full-stack products and interactive 3D for the web.
(01)About
I write software that feels built by hand.
I'm Francesco, a developer who likes to own the whole thing: the idea, the interface, the code underneath and the details nobody asked for. I move between Swift, TypeScript, Java and Python depending on what the problem needs.
Lately I've been building native macOS tools, AI-assisted products and civic tech that turns public documents into something people can actually use. This site is one of those experiments: the laptop that opens it is drawn entirely in code and assembles itself, piece by piece, as you scroll.

What I do
- 01
Native apps
Swift, SwiftUI and AppKit. Menu-bar utilities, desktop companions and iOS apps that feel at home on the platform.
- 02
Full-stack web
Next.js, React, Spring Boot and FastAPI. From the database schema to the last animation curve.
- 03
AI & data
LLM pipelines with structured outputs, signal processing and machine learning in Python.
- 04
3D & motion
Three.js, shaders and scroll-driven storytelling — like the page you're scrolling right now.

(02)Journey
From a first team app to tools I ship on my own.
2024iOS app · team project
Keia
My first product built with a team: an iOS app in Swift, where I learned code reviews, shared branches and shipping on a schedule.
2025Flutter · mobile
BarberApp
A booking app for a hair salon, built in Flutter with a small team — Android, iOS and web from a single codebase.
Feb 2026University project → full-stack platform
Aurelia
It started as a university assignment and grew into a complete hotel management platform: Spring Boot 4, XML reports validated against XSD and a real-time 3D front end.
Summer 2026Swift · Python
Native macOS & AI
A season spent building for the Mac and for machine learning: Creatures, AgentBar and Auralis, a selective auditory attention system.
Aug 2026Civic tech · AI
Sottocasa
An engine that reads the ordinances published by the City of Palermo and tells you what's about to happen on your street, with native iOS and Android clients.

What's next
Looking for teams and people who care about craft. If you're building something ambitious, I'd love to hear about it.
